Hey my AMAZING MOMS,
I hope you’re having a beautiful day so far. I wanted to share something that’s been on my heart. A close friend of mine has been struggling at work, and another is just having a rough time with life in general. And it made me think about how much we, as moms, carry every single day.
Sometimes, we’re the sole providers, not just for our kids, but for ourselves too. I’m grateful to have support in my life, but I know that’s not the case for everyone. And even when work or life isn’t “bad,” it can still feel heavy. Let’s be honest: everything is easier said than done. I completely understand.
What I want you to know is this, just because your day may start off wrong doesn’t mean it has to end that way. We have the power to pull a positive out of the bunch, even when the bunch feels full of negatives.
Sometimes, we get so overwhelmed all we can do is laugh, or giggle, even if it’s a tired one. But that little moment of laughter is powerful. It’s a choice. Just like how we choose to respond when:
- Someone cuts us off in traffic.
- A coworker is being petty for no reason.
- The drive-thru person has an attitude while you’re just trying to get food for your hungry crew.
All of these could shift your mood in the wrong direction, but you get to decide if you’ll let it. A lot of times, people’s attitudes have nothing to do with you. They’re fighting their own unseen battles.
So this week, I challenge you to shift the energy. Smile. Say hello. Ask someone how they’re doing. Be the reason someone feels a little lighter. Change the trajectory. Be the change you want to see in the world.
I try my best to encourage my friends and family, and I want to do the same for my Bloom Mommies too. Keep going. Keep blooming. Keep striving for greatness.
I see you, and I’m so proud of you.
With love,
A fellow Bloom Mommy
